• Hello,

I was thinking if the structure of WAMP’s www directory similar to:

    www
    — ClientOne
    —- siteone
    —- sitetwo
    — ClientTwo
    —- sitethree
    — ClientThree
    —- sitefour
    —- sitefive

Where “site – one to five” each are WordPress install with their own separate dbs.

I need to know if – I can have a common wordpress core files set for all of these 5 sites?

    – So when there is a new version of WordPress is available I just need to update one WordPress Install and it will do that for all of them.

    – Now I’ve to update them one by one.

    “”I don’t know WP Multi-sites much.””
–Is it a solution to what I’m asking for??

I want to make it working for my already existing such structure in WAMP’s www directory which have about 20 such wordpress installations in different sub-directories.

I don’t if what I’m asking makes sense, but if it’s possible it will be really help me save a lot of effort.
    Thanks mates.

Multisite setup will not work as you will be using one database for all sites and will be hassle transfer sites to server.

And there’s no way you can have a common set of core files running multiple single sites either.

    Thanks, Mr. Patel.
    Thanks, Esmi.

    Alright.
Should I close this topic – with the conclusion that this can’t be achieved?

I was hoping if there be a solution to this.

    Thanks again for your replies.
