Single SKU on Multiple Product Pages

    Hello,

    We sell motorcycle parts and often a single part number will fit multiple bike models or even multiple bike makes. We are looking for a plugin that will update every variation on our site that has the same part number if one is sold under a different variation.

    Example 1: Gasket A fits both Bike Model 1 and Bike Model 2. We have 2 variations on the gasket product page that both have the same part number one for Bike Model 1 and one for Bike Model 2. If a customer buys Gasket A for Bike Model 1 the stock of Gasket A for Bike Model B does not get updated even though that same part number was sold.

    Example 2: Skid Plate A fits Bike Make 1, Bike Make 2 and Bike Make 3. There are separate product pages for each. If a customer buys Skid Plate A on the product page for Bike Make 1 it does not update the stock of Skid Plate A on the product pages for Bike Make 2 and Bike Make 3 even though the same part number was sold.

    Is either the free or pro version of this plugin able to update inventory for a single part number across multiple variations in a single product page and across multiple product pages? Basically, if we have 1 of part number XX1234 left in stock and a customer buys it we want the stock to be updated for that part number across the entire site.

    This is a perfect use case for attribute stock. By adding stock to attributes (parts) that are shared between multiple products, the stock for those products will be limited by those attributes.

    You can have as many attributes with stock linked to as many products as you need, while the products themselves can simultaneously have their own stock levels. The lowest of all related stocks will be the final availability of a product on the frontend.

    You will need the full version to do this however, since the lite version can only manage internal stock that does not affect product availability.
