Single , Recurring or ANother option?

    Hello

    I am getting to grips with the application. I have a question relating the recurring events or individual events.

    This site is for the UK Greater Manchester Area of Narcotics Anonymous. We have about 50 meetings each week in and around Manchester each week.

    The meetings do change occasionally, change time, change venue etc, but mostly stay the same week in week out.

    My question is what is the best way to use the events calender, Recurring or 1 off event? I guess it is more of a Timetable than a calender.
    I can see how to list each event just showing its day and start time, but wonder if it would disappear from the list as its date passes?

    Well, you can choose:

    – create a single event, and copy it over (using the “+” sign in the event list), then you just change whatever you want
    – create a recurrence and edit the events in the occurence that are different (by editing events of an recurrence they become stand-alone events). Be carefull: if editing the recurrence itself, it will re-enter events for all dates again, so those events that you wanted to be different will then be accompanied by their “normal” cousin. Play around with it

    It’s up to you what to choose, but I guess in your case the second option is the least work. And yes, events will disappear from the list as the date passes.
