Single Quotes Escaped Too Much

There’s an apostrophe in my site’s name (Washington Area Women’s Foundation), and when I receive emails via WP-SES, it comes through like this:

Washington Area Women\\\’s Foundation

Additionally, all instances of a single quote/apostrophe come through with a leading backslash, like so:

it\’s a test.
