single product page image zoom not working

    hello,
    i have an issue on the single product page where if you click on any of the thumbnail images and immediately move your mouse cursor up to the main image before the sliding animation finishes, the mouse cursor will start flickering and image zooming will not work. this seems to happen mainly in firefox. this only happens on products with more than one thumbnail image.
    i have the latest version of wordpress and woocommerce and i don’t have any plugins installed other than woocommerce.

    i don’t know where to begin. can you give me a clue?
    if it’s a problem with a theme function, then i don’t think i can override it with a child theme, right?

    Hey there!

    You can fix issues like this in a child theme, but it’s best to report this back to the theme developer so they can fix this in the parent theme for everyone.

    i already did. they told me it wasn’t a problem with their theme and told me to contact you.
    at this point it seems this issue is only occurring with some themes and not others so i’m not sure where the problems lies but nobody is taking responsibility for it. am i the only one having this issue? how come no one else has reported this?

    Hey there again!

    Can you confirm that it works with TwentySeventeen and Storefront as the theme? Those are the base themes that we design and test with, and if they work, then the issue is not with WooCommerce.

    i confirmed that twentyseventeen and storefront work fine so the problem is with the themes then. thanks for pointing that out.
    i don’t mind trying to fix the issue myself in the child theme. any idea on how to fix it, like maybe unbinding the jquery mouse hover event and rebinding it correctly or something?
