Single Post Template not the one I adapted in Templates

Hi Maria,

from what I can see, in the Blog Post Sieben, you have this team block in the editor: https://snipboard.io/s46tjC.jpg and the content you add in the editor will be displayed on the front too. You’ll need to delete the team block from that post. The template is for the style/layout for all the posts and you can adapt it for your needs but the content you add inside the editor when you are writing the post will show up on the front.

thanks for checking. BUT:
That’s not the point, to delete the team block from the post.
In my opinion the sense of a template is that I adapt it that way that I only have those blocks and stuff there in order to not having to delete stuff later on in my posts, correct?
So, this seems to be the issue: the adapted post ist not showing and I don’t have any clue why there exists the team block in my post when it does not exist in the single post template which is the template of my posts.
There seems to be something wrong with the Single Post default template…

Well, there seems to be some hodgepodge, anyway, because when playing around with the selection of the templates in the editor, the single post default template now is missing:

That’s all that is in the drop-down menue for “templates”.

So when you navigate to the post, everything u add inside the editor you know from before will be displayed on the front, and when you click on the right Sidebar – Post > Template and click on the Edit, here you can edit the template part in case you want to have a different layout or add blocks that you want to have. But what you add in the template part will be applied to all your posts. This is how the new editor works, there are 2 editors, one for the post/pages and the second for the templates. This can be very confusing, especially at the beginning.

Hi Ana,

thanks for your message and the videos.
I now once again tested with creating new posts and now the team block has gone and the new posts are based on my template (without team block). Perhaps the team block has crept in when I cloned some posts before…
Anyway, I guess the puzzle is solved for now, thanks!
