    Hello guys,

Maybe someone is knowing how we can get the following work:

    I am using the following:
    – Blocksy
    – Stackable
    – Custom post type UI
    – Advanced Custom Fields

I can built a simple page with an archive from an custom post type archive using the block Query Loop from Gutenberg.
But how can I make an single template for a custom post type with Blocksy and Stackable?
Or do I need an FSE theme for that?

    Best Regards,
    Miguel

  • Hello @mhagenaars

Yep, for the moment, you’ll need a FSE theme to easily change templates using the Gutenberg editor.

There’s another way though, but it will require extensive knowledge of PHP. It involves creating a cpt_name-single.php file inside the child theme, and building on top of what a theme provides.

We are currently looking into how Blocksy will approach the whole FSE deal. We prototyped something internally and it’s looking good. Hope to have more to announce soon in regards to this. ??

    Thanks.

    Hello @eduard

Thank you for your response. That’s cool! I like the part of FSE for creating custom templates for custom post types, but I am not switching from Blocksy to an FSE theme. Blocksy is the best theme so I will wait for further updates!

    Thanks,
    Miguel

    Hello @eduard,

Sorry for asking, but do you have any idea when you guys will launch something? Just because I am interested ??
