Single Post Template Disappears…

    I want to experiment with the Featured Video Template, but when I assign it to a post, I notice that when I want to change back, the Single Post option has disappeared from the dropdown.
    If I set the post to Default Template, it still shows as Featured Video, but when I save the edit, it finally shows as Single Post.
    I’m pointing this out because it caused a lot of confusion at first. I wasted a lot of time thinking I wasn’t able to revert to Single Post any more.

    I’m not quite sure if I am following, are you trying to add a feature video to the Single Post template?

    Is the end goal having a featured video on each or selected post?

    @thelmachido – Thank you for your interest.

    When I edit a post, if I click on the Template dropdown, there is a Template called “Featured VIDEO”. If I click on that and save, then I’m using the Featured VIDEO template.

    But if I change my mind, and want to revert to the Single Post Template, the option Single Post no longer appears in the Template dropdown.

    I’ve been experimenting because I would like to show my videos in place of Featured Images – in the hope that the Thumbnail of the video will appear in category lists.
