    is there a way to edit the single portfolio template so that the fields showing say “Owner” and “Scope” and appear in an accordion like this

    Hi,

    You can modify single template by overriding single portfolio file.

    In your Theme File Directory or Child Theme Directory create single-portfolio.php file. then you can modify this file.
