• Hi there I have been searching for a plugin fow a while now but haven’t found anything I am looking for.

I am looking for a image plugin I can use for single page photo essay. I could just put all the photos on one page, but I like to have some fancy next, previous functions.

    Looking for something like this:

Anyone now a plugin a could try?

    Kind regards!

  • Hi,

Did you try the NextGEN Gallery plugin?
Also, the WP gallery shortcode could also work for you. It is a new feature that was recently added my WP. Simply add several images to your page or post, and insert the shortcode [gallery] where you want to display the pictures.

    Thanks Marventus,

I did try that today and I use it before but it doesn’t seem to do what I am looking for.

I also just noticed the shortcode fot the gallery which is great but I only managed to get thumbnails not single images.

I would very much like to have some up and down feature as well like in the example.

    No pb.

Did you add your images to the post as full size? If you did, you should be getting full-sized images with [gallery].
The button functionality is JavaScript, and I’m not very proficient in that programming language. You could try searching for “Javascript scroll down button” on Google.
Oh, also, if you want captions in your images, use the caption feature in WP.

Yup i did attach them full size but still thumbs in the gallery. The gallery configuration asks you where you want your thumbs to be linked to so maybe full size is not an option right now

But simply adding [gallery size="full"] works!! Thanks!

Cool! I forgot that the gallery shortcode takes arguments.
