    Thanks for your question!

    WordPress creates different sizes for each image you upload (for example the 500×220 size). Unchecking this size from the plugin settings does not prevent this size from being created, it only stops the plugin from compressing it.

    The image that is shown on your website can be any of these sizes. However, this is determined in your theme and not by this plugin. In order to change this, you probably need to modify your theme. Unfortunately, this is not something I can help you with, as it’s independent of the plugin.
