How do I set the location to the site’s location: Brandywine, Maryland USA? Also, the pull-down doesn’t seem to be working; how do I set that so it will work?

Would I need an API for a single location?

I figured out for myself this location: NAM|US|MD|BRANDYWINE|20613 . Please let me know if I am right that I need an API for a forecast, but not current conditions. And the pull-down is only for forecast which I don’t have access to without the API. Is that true?

    Hello JoyceD6,

to get the forecast as pulldown you have

to select the number of forecast days with the ckeckboxes on the right
activate the checkbox “show as a pulldown”
    select “first day in pulldown”
and of course save the options

You do not need a special API access.
Just tested it with your location mentioned above and it works on my site.

I think I did that, but there’s no pull-down. I’ll leave it there so you can see, hopefully, what I see (I don’t know why it may be different). There are icons under the forecast for Day and Night but no pull-down unless the link for “More forecast” is considered the pull-down.

I also added it to a sister site: https://www.accokeek.com and have it selected to the same settings, but it’s only showing icons and no text (also no pull-down). I’m assuming the template is somehow interfering with your code. Please let me know.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

I just looked at the Brandwine Site and it seems you selected Widget A.

Please go to design widgets and set the widget id to ? (question mark)

    Does this work?

It created a pull-down for the title link which is crazy as it doesn’t do anything.

I tried it on the Accokeek website and the same thing happened. I didn’t leave it there for you to view on that site, however, whereas I did leave it on the Brandywine site. Looking forward to another possible fix.

    Thank you!

I changed the widget to the ? option over 24 hrs. ago and left it that way so you could see that it’s not working. The title has the pull-down, not the forecast. Please let me know how this can be fixed.

I just looked at the Brandywine site and it seems to work perfectly now.
The pull-down above gives you the possibility to have more than one location. If you create more locations cou can choose which location to show from this pull-down .

Below the weather data there is a link “”More forecast…” if you click on this link the forecast pulls down and shows additional forecast data.

This is how it is designed.
