    Yo guys,

I’m having the biggest PITA with woocommerce lately >:(

I want to limit my customer’s order quantity to 1 per transaction.

I HAVE ticked “Limit purchases to 1 item per order”.

But still the website shows on iOS and desktop chrome + safari:

    |- OR -|

before the “add to cart” button.

How do I get rid of this monstrosity?

    Thanks

The error is still there on mobile. I haven’t changed anything. It’s showing up on every product I have and the woocommerce support haven’t replied. Why is this forum dead?

I’m not seeing it on my mobile, iPhone 8. The element is showing display: none in the markup.

I think its coming from your payment plugin. Its not coming from the core woocommerce plugin.

I am not a member of the woocommerce support team. The team is a few days behind and I would expect them to comment here sooner or later. I wouldn’t agree the forum dead, its just that responses are sometimes a bit slower than what we would all like.

In my view the forum is oversubscribed for the resource available, as one might expect with a free service. Its not helped that some posts are asking for free advice for custom developments and this is outside the scope of every free support service I’ve seen. Users should be paying a developer for help with their custom developments. I don’t refer to your issue.

    Hi @creaturemangler

Regarding your issue with the order quantity limit, even though you have set the “Limit purchases to 1 item per order”, it seems like it’s not reflecting as expected on your site. The “|- OR -|” you’re seeing before the “add to cart” button is not a default feature of WooCommerce, which suggests that a theme or a plugin might introduce it.

I have checked your site on my mobile and couldn’t replicate the issues: https://gifyu.com/image/SWIOL

Often, these types of issues could be related to the web browser you’re using. An excellent first step to troubleshooting this would be to try clearing your browser’s cache. This can often help in resolving general site loading or performance issues. You can follow our detailed guide on clearing browser cache here: https://wordpress.com/support/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache

Additionally, you may use the Order Restrictions for WooCommerce or Sell Individually for WooCommerce to limit checkout to one product per order with Sell Individually for WooCommerce.

I also stumbled upon a helpful snippet from a Google search:
