I am updating website localy so I can not share website url.

    Hi @marcizus

    Thank you for reaching out.

For me to understand and learn more about your setup, could you provide the version of the following?

    1. PHP
    2. WordPress
    3. The Events Calendar
    4. Theme and Version

    Hi @marcizus,

I tried to install the theme, but it failed, see: https://share.zight.com/geu75LRg

Would you mind switching to 2020 theme and checking if you can still replicate the issue?

Looking forward to helping you with this.

It failed because it is a plugin not a theme. You install plugin and then create blank theme.

    Hi @marcizus ,

Thank you for your message and the information.

I was able to install the Create Block Theme plugin, and I was able to create a new blank theme with it. However, I have not been able to reproduce the issue in my testing environment running only The Events Calendar plugin with it.

That said, I suspect there’s a conflict that’s causing the issue here. It would be good to test for conflicts. Could you follow the following steps?

    1. Deactivate all other plugins except for The Events Calendar Plugins.
    2. Switching to the Default theme.

Please read the Testing for Conflicts Article before doing anything.

To be safe, we’d recommend conducting tests and updates on a Staging Server. Also, please keep a working backup of your website.

    Hi @marcizus

I hope you’re doing well. I just wanted to touch base and check in with you. It’s been a little while since we’ve heard from you. I was just curious if you had the chance to try out the recommendation provided above.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Hello,

sorry for the delay. I deactivated all the plugins, changed theme to twenty twenty four, even deleted single event template, created new one and it is still the same: https://prnt.sc/QQSQK-3biVxz

Is there any global plugin settings that needs to be set?

I am trying to make layout like this: https://demo.gloriathemes.com/eventchamp/demo/event/ca-after-party/

    Hi @marcizus ,

Thank you for your message. Below is a link to a video recording of my test environment. Am I missing something that I am unable to replicate the issue?

    Hi @tristan083 ,

the issue is seen in appearance>editor>template>single event.

    Hi @marcizus

Upon checking the issue from this screenshot, it seems that this behavior is to be expected since the block lacks information about which event it should retrieve data from. As a result, it cannot determine which event date from your events to display in the preview.

Nevertheless, when you assign the template to a specific event, the blocks will then showcase the relevant information on the website.

Let me know if you have further questions or concerns.

    Hello,

well it seems to be working on front-end of event. I am just not sure that these block have use? As I said I am trying to mimic template like: https://demo.gloriathemes.com/eventchamp/demo/event/megeve-winter-party/ where all event details are on the side.

For Organiser block is not showing anything. And all the event details are still in “Event details classic” block. So in a way there is no way to split information and work with it. And this is how the block is displayed without any css customizing https://prnt.sc/lRFY3IZp3hSJ

    Hi @marcizus

Unfortunately, that is still the limitation regarding the full site editor themes. However, you can try to override the template instead and adjust it to your desired layout. To know more about this, you can proceed to this article: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/customizing-template-files-2/

Specifically, you’ll need to start overriding the following templates for single events page.

    Block editor

Look for this file the-events-calendar/src/views/single-event-blocks.php and copy it to [your-theme]/tribe/events/single-event-blocks.php

    Classic Editor:

Look for this file plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/single-event.php and copy it to [your-theme]/tribe-events/single-event.php

Let me know if you have further concerns.
