    Singl doesn’t work with WP 4.2.2. When it’s activated it causes a “The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred.” error. Any reason why this is so?

    Hi pinksoir, I just tested WordPress 4.2.2 with Singl 1.1.2 and I’m not getting any errors. Internal server errors aren’t often caused by the theme, in my experience.

    A good troubleshooting step is to deactivate all your plugins and see if the issue goes away. If it does, reactivate them one-by-one to find the culprit. Let me know how it goes.

    Hi Kathryn,

    Thanks for the quick reply! It must be something wrong with my wordpress install or the host. It’s a brand new fresh install with no active plugins, so that rules a plugin conflict out. I’ll have a bit of a dig around. Good to know it’s working anyway.

    Since it’s a fresh install, to really rule out the theme as a culprit, you could try switching to a default theme like Twenty Fifteen. If there’s a still problem, then you may want to re-install WP again or look more closely at your .htaccess file to make sure there are no issues there. If there are no problems with Twenty Fifteen, you could try downloading a fresh copy of Singl to rule out file corruption.

    Hi Kathryn,

    It does seem to be the theme all right. All others are working fine. The hosting is on an MS ISS which could be the problem. That’s unfortunate, I really like the theme.

    You could try asking your host to see if they can look at the error logs to identify specifically what’s triggering an internal error – a specific theme file name and line number would be most helpful. If you get any additional information about this, just let me know.

    Hey Kathryn,

    I switched providers (was using my sister’s hosting) and it’s all working perfectly. It’s a great theme as I expected and I look forward to digging into the CSS!

    In case it makes any difference, the hosting I’m with is Linux based as opposed to MS ISS. I’m sure the problem lay elsewhere, but just to have it said in case anyone else is having a similar problem and is on Microsoft based hosting.
