Yesterday I started using the blocksy theme. There is a menu in the header. Items desktop, server router, virtualization and contact use an anchor within the main page (singlesite). Then in the menu there are 2 links away from the main page (blog and speedmeter). Within singlesite, the desktop, server router, virtualization and contact links work perfectly.

    e.g

    mysite/#desktop
    mysite/#router
    etc

If I click on the blog and want to go to the desktop again, the link doesn’t work, because it goes to mysite/blog/#desktop. How could I solve this problem?

I apologize, but the website is not in English

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @janyx

That is perfectly correct, because you have implemented the links only using the #ID of them. You will need to integrate the full URL and the ID, if you wish these links to be accessible from other pages as well.

So, you will need to insert them as https://jany.ml/#ID

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks.

    Thank you very much
I tried it yesterday. I created links for the menu

    /#ID
    or
    https://mysite/#ID

Then it works correctly, but the menu breaks in color. I just set it up for the desktop and server items. See the website

    Hello @janyx

The menu doesn’t actually “break”. It is a WordPress limitation, as it does not have an idea of anchor navigation.

You might want to check this tutorial for some additional tips on how to mitigate this issue – https://creativethemes.com/blocksy/video-tutorials/advanced-tutorials/setting-up-anchor-navigation/

    Hope this clears things up!

    Thanks.

This video does not solve my problem. Anchors work for me now, but the menu will change. Links to singlesites now have a different color and are also underlined. Through the customize – header – menu, I can cancel the underline, but not the color of the links.

    Thanks

    Hello @janyx

I’m guessing that you didn’t take a full look at the video. The second part of it explains the WordPress limitation that you’re facing and how to go around it with the page scroll to ID plugin.

    ??

    Thanks.

According to the video, I couldn’t set it up.
So the solution is like this:

    Customizing -> Header

Click on The card Design and setting Font color

    Thanks

    Hello @janyx

While that might be an interim solution, setting your font to be all the same colour isn’t necessarily the best one.

I am very confident that the page scroll to ID plugin can solve this WordPress limitation and get your links highlighted correctly. You might’ve configured something incorrectly? It might also be a good idea to check their documentation, as in any case, the link highlighting is handled by the plugin.

    Thanks.

It is possible that I set something wrong. I am not a WP professional.
In any case, thank you for your help.

No worries, @janyx. Let us know if you need further assistance. ??

Thank you very much for your help.
For now, the solution I used is sufficient.
