  • Here too. You have to deactivate the spellchecking before clicking the save button. Also, shortcodes are broken due the <span> elements breaks shortcodes.

    And this issue also breaks auto oEmbeds. A fix is really needed.

    There’s a workaround that I implement. You just need to correct everything it detects and it will remove the span classes being added, for suggestions that come up multiple times, just select ignore all.

    Another vote for fix required for this issue. Spell check breaks ‘types and views’ toolkit shortcodes as well.

    Found this while searching through Github. Someone ripped ATD out of Jetpack and uploaded it. No more <span> errors and seems to work fine.

    I do suggest editing after-the-deadline.php and changing the version number to 1.0.1 as WordPress thinks you’re using the original ATD plugin and will want you to “update” to an older version.
