since wp 5.5 mass of false positives

    Hi folks,
    BLC is absolutely necsessary plugin. Thank You!
    But since WP version 5.5 I get mass of false reports. As I can see most of them regard internal links. BLC reports === HTTP-Code: 500 ===. But if I click the links they open accurate.
    I already cleared the cache and forced recheck all links, but the errors remain.
    Please adjust the plugin or give a recommendation for settings.

    Sorry to hear you are having this problem.

    Could you please enable the WordPress to debug mode following the guide here:
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/debugging-wordpress-how-to-use-wp_debug/

    Navigate to WordPress > Settings > Link Checker > Advanced > Force Link Checher,

    Then check if a debug.log was generated at the wp-content folder if so, download the file, upload on Google drive and send the link by email.

    Hi Patrick,

    thank You for reply, but maybe the suggested test is irrelevant cause I updated the plugin (version 1.11.14) before reading Your answer. Furthermore I already marked all internal links which yielded (false) html error 500 as “not broken”.
    Nevertheless I activated DEBUG and forced recheck all links. A debug.log wasn’t generated and actually there are not broken links shown.
    So my problem seems to be solved.
