    Hello,
I’m using aggregate 3.6 theme from elegant theme which is working like a charm with all wordpress version update.
but since WordPress update 4.3. readmore tag doesn’t work anymore!

    <!–more–>

I just downgrade to wordpress 4.2.4 and all is fine now.
but I would like to avoid to stay with a not updated wp version.

Anybody knows something about this bug??

First: I have moved this to the “How-To and Troubleshooting” forum. Please only use Alpha/Beta for Alpha/Beta releases. WordPress 4.3 has been out of beta for almost a week now.

Second: Given the database changes in 4.3, downgrading to 4.2.4 is *very* dangerous unless you did it by restoring a pre-upgrade backup of both the files and the database. If you didn’t, put the 4.3 files back now. A failing more tag is not worth damage to your database.

Finally: This sounds like a problem specific to your theme. Are you using the latest version of that theme? Do you still have this problem in the Twenty Fifteen theme?

    Hi,
First of all thanks for the quick reply and placing my topic on the right forum.
I downgraded badly by just overwriting with the previous WordPress version and got a database update alert. Just a click And then all fine.

I would like to avoid to stay with a not updated version of WordPress.
About the theme it’s the last version of it. And all previous WordPress update worked like a charm. Just with WordPress 4.3.
<!–more–> tag stoppes to Work in the slider from the home page.
I will try with another them tonight.

Any update in the WordPress core about these tag StuffIt on 4.3

    Hello,
I didn’t got the problem with twenty twelve.

in order to fix my problem with aggregate. in place of using <!–more–>
I defined some text as excerpt and I activated this option in the theme.
It’s kind of workaround. but it works.

I will report this problem to Eleganttheme team.

Thanks a lot for your quick reply James.
    kind regards,

    Hi Mr. James Huff!

I want to inform that the

    <!–more–>

tag is not still working in the latest version (4.3.1) of WordPress. I’ve tested it on all default themes but not working. Why? Can you justify?

    Thanks!
