Since update no visual toolbar editor

    I no longer have the choice of visual or text tabs in my content editor.
    There is no way for me to do a bulleted list or bold something.
    It’s very frustrating.
    At the top left under the add media button it says text visual and the buttons are the ones that were on the text tab.
    I want my editor toolbar back.
    I tried disabling all plugins.
    Then I tried reinstalling the 3.8.1. update. No change.
    Please help, I’m going bonkers here. I have a lot of pages to write.

    The visual editor did not get disabled in your profile, did it?

    Also, did you try switching to a default theme – Twenty Thirteen or Twenty Fourteen? Sometimes themes will make funny things happen.

    No, I am doing weaver pro and I asked on that forum and they said it’s a wordpress problem.
    I don’t know enough to start switching themes in the middle of creating a site and I actually worked really hard to get it right in this one.
    Then this happened.

    Hmm. I’ve not messed with Dream Weaver Pro and WordPress integration, but with most themes, you can simply deactivate in the admin of WordPress and then reactivate when desired. Here‘s some screenshots and tutorials on that process.

    It’s not dreamweaver, it’s a popular theme called Weaver 11 and I got the pro version which is a bit fancier.
    I checked the tutorials and they looked a bit scary so I’m going to quit for the night.
    I was hoping this was a little bug in the new version and a lot of people would have it so they’d fix it soon. Bummer! it’s just me.
