When on /wp-admin/users.php, the Edit icon has disappeared and now I cannot look nor edit a user. I have deactivated and activated each plugin and it turns out that it is WooCommerce causing the issue. It was working up until the last WooCommerce update. I have also deactivated each plugin that uses WooCommerce and the Edit still not work, then when I had all plugins activated and just deactivated WooCommerce the Edit button appeared like normal.

Any ideas on what setting or function needs to be corrected? I am unable to edit or view any user profile.

  • When WooCommerce is active, on the users list, what is your role? Is it still showing as “Administrator”?

It’s a wordpress multisite. I have superadmin role and then on the individual site I have administrator role.
I looked further and I cannot make any user an administrator now either. All I can do is change them to customer and cannot edit anything.

I have WooCommerce only activated on that one particular site (which is the main site), not network activated as the other site on the multisite is a support site.
When I deactivate the WooCommerce plugin, I am then able to view, edit, remove, spam and change roles to administrator, literally like nothing is wrong at all. The minute I activate it though all of that goes away.

    WordPress Version 4.9.8
WooCommerce Version Version 3.4.6 (I updated from 3.4.5)

Also when I do go to the individual user page with WooCommerce activated
    /wp-admin/user-edit.php?user_id=88

    I get this error:
Sorry, you are not allowed to edit this user.

Multisite is outside my comfort zone. Hopefully a Woo tech can help.

Otherwise you could try manipulating capabilities with:

I downloaded the beta version 3.5.0-rc.1 and the problem was fixed on dev site. Just downloaded the newest stable release today of 3.4.7 and it also fixed the issue. When I installed 3.4.5 it was fine too, it was just the release of 3.4.6 that was acting odd. WooCommerce took care of the issue ??
