    Hi,

    After a couple of years of no issues, I think Google made some change on their end that is causing our WP Mail SMTP to lose its connection with Google once a week, roughly. We have to manually “Remove Connection” and then re-establish for it to work another week. We use the Web App – OAuth method in your guides but get disconnected every week and lose emails in the process.

    Thanks for reaching out! Please make sure the Google App you’ve created is in published mode as described in our documentation. This issue can happen in the ‘test’ mode and we’ve recently updated the documentation.

    Thank you for the confirmation. In that case, the Google account access was probably revoked due to other reasons. Some common reasons are the change in your account password, you enabled two-factor authentication for your account, etc.

    But if the account is being disconnected every other week while still on ‘production’ mode, you might create a new project in Google console and re-do all the steps in Gmail mailer documentation.
