Since 3.1.9 metaboxes disappeared from course editing

The old builder course, you mention was no longer supported since September 1st, 2023 and was removed with update 3.1.9. You can find more information about it here.

In addition: I can see how custom fields are managed, there is a way to have a date type with calendar?

You can try using the Advanced Custom Fields plugin, but we haven’t tested it with MasterStudy compatibility to guarantee flawless functionality. This is all I can suggest for now, or you can use the new course builder.

For further customization, the new Course Builder is using the language files ? I see that something is translated and something not.

The date field type isn’t supported right now, but I’ve passed it on to our developers. Can’t promise a timeframe, but it should be added in future releases.

Also, could you send over the translation strings you’re having trouble changing?

Some messages are translated and some not. For example the title of the course builder is:

Course information

Fill out basic information about a course to make it attractive to potential students.

but the label of the course name is correctly translated in italian (my language) as:

Nome corso

The placeholder inside the field instead is still in english:

Enter course name

and the validation is in english (This field is required)

Please make sure you’re using the updated version of the plugin. To translate strings, you can use the Loco Translate plugin. Remember to synchronize the po file first, and then you can easily translate the strings using the search bar. https://ibb.co/bNDtzzs
