I have linked to one of the articles on my website.

I am trying to enable the lightbox feature but all photos immediately go to download when clicked. The wrinkle here is that all images on my website are URL linked to my photo hosting site with OneDrive. At this point, I have thousands of images spread throughout my website linking to my OneDrive hosted images so it isn’t realistic to make any changes to that, so I am trying to figure how to get this to work and unsure if that is part of the issue. It also immediately goes to download images when I right-click the image and select “open in new tab” or “open in new window”.

What’s ironic is that this all worked fine in the past with a different plugin and it stopped working somewhere along the line. Not sure if it was an update with WordPress, my theme (Colibri) or the plugin. I’ve since tried multiple lightbox-related plugins with nothing working.

Or this could all simply be that I am doing something wrong…i,e. Operator Error, lol. I have each image URL linked and also linked to “Media File”. Maybe that is part of the issue?

Not sure, but I’d love to step up to SimpLy Pro. but don’t want to spend the money if I can’t get this to work. That being said…is there a different plugin that would work better?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
SimpLy Lightbox does not support images from external sources. I can only advise you to try another plugin
