Simply Static with WPML

    Hi Guys,

    Awesome job on the plugin!
    Hope you can help me.

    We have a customer who wants their site to be international :

    2 versions

    1. https://www.examplesite.nl – Dutch and English (for foreigners here in the Netherlands)
    2. https://www.otherdomainname.eu – International (english)

    The second site is 90% the same, but some pages are different because they have different content, because of some limitations in other countries.

    So the tricky part :

    When we use Simply Static for this site, it asks for a relative url, but we need to have different domains/urls.

    Is there a way to achieve having 2 zip files, with 2 different domains?
    Or another way to have 1 zipfile, with 1 folder, but again with 2 different domains?

    FYI : WPML the Multi language Plugin can create the different domains. So there is only a need to simply static this :

  • Hi Tim,

    I don’t think you’d be able to easily achieve this with Simply Static presently, sorry. About the best I can think of would be to run Simply Static twice, setting the domain to what you want it to be each time.
