Simplify post page

  • Hi All

    I want to simplify the post page of wordpress. Only problem is that its complexity is makingmy head spin!

    So what do I wanna do? Leave most well alone, but in the options on the right, only have categories (fully open), with ‘post date’ and ‘author’ below it.

    I have looked into the page, but have no idea how! (and I have searched… but the only advice I have found is to be careful…)

    Help?
