• I received an email a last week from Priority Payment Systems stating that Simplify Commerce (from Mastercard) was being closed down on August 1, 2018 but I can’t find anything via Google search confirming it.

    Dear Valued Client,

If you are currently using the Simplify Commerce Gateway to process credit card transactions, please be advised that they are discontinuing this product effective August 1st, 2018.

Moving forward, Priority will be reaching out to assist merchants in setting up MX? Merchant. Our MX? Merchant app is a virtual terminal that provides businesses with the ability to process credit card transactions through the “QuickPay” feature, as well as access reporting and other features within MX? Merchant…

I already had Stripe as a backup processor and simply made that live and turned off Simplify.

    Hi Celenie,

As our valued merchant, first and foremost, we would like to apologize for the stirred up trouble (given the short notice) regarding the email sent out by Priority Payment Systems (PPS). We would like to confirm that the email is accurate.

Simplify Commerce will no longer support PPS as our partnered acquirer, after the cut-off date (September 1st). If you wish to continue processing after the cut-off date, please follow the steps provided on the email. Your account details will be migrated to MXMerchant and will be processing transaction through their API Keys as well. You will no longer need to contact us, nor need us for support

Kindly coordinate with them directly using this using this phone number: 1-866-655-9221. Please note that their over-the-phone assistance center is open from Mondays through Fridays, 8 AM to 9 PM EST.

We thank you for trusting Simplify Commerce with your business. Wishing you a great success!

    Regards,

I always had Stripe as a backup so I just switched over to Stripe and didn’t look back. Stripe also offers Apple Pay and I’ve noticed an uptick in orders, many of them using Apple Pay.
