Simplify Checkout Process (reduce check pages)

    Hello,

    I am using Course Press and have selected Manual Payment Method. When you click on Enrollment button, it takes you to series of Checkout pages.

    1-Review 2-Shipping 3-Checkout 4-Confirm 5-Order Complete.

    I have made course registration enabled only to Registered User. What I want is that when a Registered User wants to enroll for a course, they click on Enroll button, and then they see what course they have selected, and when they proceed, they should see my Manual Payment Instructions and then they simply confirm their order. For this I want to make the enrollment process very simple as under. Can I simplify this process as

    1-Review 2-Confirm 3-Order Complete

    2- Secondly is there w way to add a progress bar on the course level?

    To change the payment process is not possible out of the box. Although yu can try the Pro version where the process is more simple, with step 1: Billing/Shipping Address and step 2: Review Order/Payment

    2- Secondly is there w way to add a progress bar on the course level?

    It is not possible out of the box with the CoursePress plugin. This will require a lot of custom coding. We can add this as a feature request and if it will be voted from enough members our developers will consider adding this feature.

    With the plugin you can show the students’ Workbook , go and edit the course from CoursePress > Courses > continue to Step 5 and check on the Show student Workbook option.

    This way the students will be seeing their progress.

    Many thanks for the quick reply.

    I am little confuse, as the course will be online, which means registered users will only need to username & password to Login and read anything they want and plus I am accepting manual payment, which mean they can deposit money into my bank account therefore I do not require their address, which also means I do not need to get Shipping details. Thirdly I do not need to have their post address since i am not sending them anything physically.

    So can I make the check out process simpler in Pro version? Is there any demo video where I can see this type of customisation?

    Hello @imran79 , I hope all is well!

    Unfortunately, it is not possible out of the box with free and Pro version of the Marketpress plugin. Although in MarketPress Pro you can have two steps checkout. You can try the plugin on your site once you sign up for 14 days trial here. Even after a trial period ends, you can still use the plugin.

    To make the payment gateway even more simple, you will need to modify the plugin’s core files with custom code. This is out of a scope that we can provide, what you can do is check WP Jobs section for additional help from developers:
