Simple Zipcode Search?

    I’m looking to answer a simple question: how to search for posts with a certain zipcode. I have posts containing a custom taxonomy named “zipcode”. I want visitors to enter a zipcode in a search field that returns posts marked by that zipcode. That’s it.

    The native WordPress search doesn’t find the custom taxonomy nor a tag marked with the zipcode. The same for Elementor’s search form.

    Anyone have a simple answer? (There appears plenty of ecommerce plugins with this ability, but nothing involving searching posts.)

    I’m glad you resolved this for yourself. To help prevent you from being the cause of something like this, I’ll answer anyway.
    Name your zipcode input field “zipcode” so when the form is submitted you send an URL like this: https://example.com/?zipcode=10011
