Simple “write post” page

I am looking for a way to simplify the “write post” page in the admin section of my site.

Ideally I would like the “write post” page to look like the rest of my web site , but I would settle for an admin “write post” page that just gives the option of “category” the “wysiwyg editor” and the “upload file” section of the “write post” page.

rewriting php is not my thing, I can push it around a little bit, but an overhaul expert I am not.

Has anyone stumbled across a plugin that has helped them, or maybe some help with some editing? Thanks
