Simple Video Embedder update self-hosted videos

I recently updated the Simple Video Embedder from Version 1.3 to 2.0 [both on WP 3.0]. However, when I did that, my self-hosted videos no longer work on the blog. To make sure, I reinstalled 1.3 and the videos played, but with 2.0, there is just a black box where the video should be. Are self-hosted videos no longer supported with 2.0?
