Simple text addon not shown in order e-mail

Hey there.
I’m using WordPress 5.4.2 with the Avada theme, WooCommerce Version 4.2.0 and YITH WooCommerce Product Add-ons Version 1.5.23.3.
I’ve setup multiple addons including a global one which is of type text and applies to all categories and products.
If a customer fills the add-on of type text, it will not appear in the e-mail which is sent with the order.
As far as I can understand from the documentation, this should be supported out-of-the-box:

Can I show the content of the field “text” in a new order email?
Yes, the add-on contents are shown in the order and, as a consequence, in the order email as well.

Am I missing something here?
