Folders with Excel spreadsheets in them

Hi,

I have a fairly simple problem that is proving difficult to solve.

I have a hidden/protected WP site.

I need to set up a folder where users can place Excel spreadsheets.

This is to be done with the WP plugin File Manager.

I need only the user roles of Editor & Admin to be able to access it.

No matter where I place the files, I can log in as a subscriber and can access it if I have the direct URL.

This is despite having the htacces file stopping general directory browsing. (which works)

The users uploading these files are not “that” PC savvy and changing read/write permissions etc is not for them.

ANy help appreciated.
