Simple Tags – Isn’t tagging existing posts

Hi! I just installed simple tags and when I try and get it to tag my old posts it looks like it is working (going through my posts on the screen) then it says “0 tags added”. Is there something I am doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
