Simple Suggestion to Make Plugin Listings User Friendly

    I’ve been working with wordpress for about a week and so far I really enjoy it. I always like to fully inspect plugins before I use them, and there are many duplicate plugins for similiar features. I have read threads on particular plugins and the threads seem to degenerate into “Well, they’re all different, so you have to check them out and see what works for you”. It’s very time consuming to find a plugin and then search the web for info and feedback on people that use these plugins.

    My suggestion is that you open a thread and rating system for each plugin. So at each plugin location we can see an overall review, how many people have vote, and then details on a thread with user feedback, problems, etc.

    PHPBB support forums are set up this way and it makes it VERY fast and reliable to do background checks on plugins and features.

    PS – In case I wasn’t clear, the threads and feedback should be available directly on the central download sectin for each plugin. All centrally located and linked from each plugin.
