Simple scrolling image gallery help

  • Hi,
    I am trying to make a simple scrolling gallery on my site a bit like https://butdoesitfloat.com/.

    It would sit in a photography section which I have created a page for. It is not the blog, as I have that on a separate page. Would I need to have another blog for the images or is there a way to just load them nicely one under the other with a fade as you scroll?

    That’s level 1.
    Level 2 is trying to figure out how to manage those images, whether it be through the ‘images’ folder or through a third party like flickr…

    but to begin with can anyone point me in the direction of plugins and/or hacks that help replicate https://butdoesitfloat.com/ type of functionality.
