• I’ve tweaked my chosen theme quite a lot to get my website’s main header to show along with menu etc to match the rest of the site – if I decide to apply a different theme then go back to this one, will it be reverted to standard, or remember my settings?

Think I’ll take a backup of the css text to be safe, but I’m wondering!
    Thanks

  • Your theme settings are saved in your database and should be retained for future use. The theme files themselves will not be touched unless you upgrade the theme. Your changes can be made upgrade-proof by creating a child theme.

Thanks for your help! I’l have to look into that. I’m amazed how hard it was to find a theme that would allow my whole website header and menu, so had to deconstruct (butcher!) a theme to get it to sort of look right, mobile version still doesn’t work right though.
