• I currently have paralinks setup which look like this;

    mydomain.com/about

Although how would i go about getting another forward slash on the end of it? “/” this…

I’ve tried a few things but the only i’ve managed to do it, well it messed up the links to my blog entires which look like “/uncategorized/test.html” and the link to section also doesn’t have a forward slash.

    /category/uncategorized

    Thanks!

  • Even simpler question….

    Why?

    Funny guy huh?

There’s a simple answer for your question, if your smart enough maybe you could figure it out. (assume it’s something to with PERSONAL preference) The questions simple enough, if you want to be awkward play away.

    ~Joey

P.s I often wonder why some cannot just answer the question, instead they act like minute44. :/

and I wonder why people get so upset when someone asks them why they want to go out of their way to modify core code to put a useless backslash on the end of their permalinks.

Am I mistaken, or are you asking for help? – if you want it, you should be prepared to answer whatever questions someone asks you. The question was, is there a valid reason to justify modifying core code?

    The answer is no.

(and he wasn’t nearly as rude as you… so as far as I’m concerned you can find it yourself)

    Question; Who’s upset?

I’m not bothered, I just asking a question and that did not warrant m44 response. (or should I say how he went about it)

Ivovic; Prepared to answer whatever questions someone asks me? I think not. I understand some might want to know why, although it’s normally done in a polite way which trying to show off or appear the smart*rse.

Personally preference would be the answer, if that isn’t acceptable ignore the question. It really isn’t that hard to understand

for someone so arrogant, you really are kind of touchy… arrogance and thick skin works much better.

I’ve never seen someone so worked up over 4 words, none of which are insults.

Thanks, you’ve made my day! lol

Arrogance appears to be all around us, don’t you think?
    ~Joey

P.s I should stay on topic, well the question still stands. If someone does know of a way I’d appreciate how to achieve it, regardless of how awkward my question appears.

    -Edit-
Ivovic, I’m honestly not at all bothered about you not answer it, however I would like to than you for posting. =)

Dude… All I wanted to know is why you want to do it. I was curious.

If you’re gonna get touchy you can kiss the hope of any help on these forums goodbye.

    Ok,

Well I apologize. It appeared to me that you was attampting to be awkward, yes my question is exactly that but it was a question I was wondering about. (so please do accept my apology)

    ~Joey

P.s I do have a question, m44 would actually be able to answer the question? (I’m honestly curious and I’m not asking you to do so but I am interested if you do know) =)

Nope… I’m not sure how you’d do it. I was curious as to why you wanted to do it in case the outcome would benefit me in any way. I also thought that if you explained your reasoning, it may help you get a more prompt response.

Apology accepted, Just take it easy bro… you’ll live longer.

    (@joey_matthews)

Lol… I wished ?? I am glad that you accepted it after my outburst though. =)

Oh, No… I just assume nobody would help me if I mentioned “I’m awkard, I actually hate the look of links which don’t have one” some reason I just prefer when they do end with /link/.

That actually does sound bad. oh well
    ~Joey

Sounds like mild OCD if you ask me…. haha, no offecnce intended, we all have our little tweaks.

I can’t help having the impression that Ivovic knows something you two don’t…

why they want to go out of their way to modify core code to put a useless backslash on the end of their permalinks

Try to catch his attention again ??

    Thread Starter joey_matthews

    (@joey_matthews)

I’ve noticed other wordpress sites which have forward slahes at the end of links, so I didn’t really think it would be core code or at least have a way around it.

If it’s the only way, then I’ll just have to make do.
    ~Joey

I never really paid attention, but I’m fooling around in my test site and that one does it too. Could it be so simple that my permalinks are set to

    /%post_id%/%postname%/

    ?

    Yep, it’s that simple!
