Simple Page Sidebar not working with WP3.9

Since upgrading to WP3.9 The sidebars no longer work. I add widgets to my custom sidebar, save the changes, view the changes on the page and it looks great. But when I return to the Widgets section, the custom Sidebars have no widgets displayed.
