Simple news page

  • I need to create a simple news page for my client’s website. I do not want categories, authors, search or any of the other items wordpress has on blogs by default.

    Currently my posts section is being used by the theme to display four boxes on the home page, so I need to either exclude these boxes from the news page too.

    Ideally, I want the client to be able to click ‘add new’ on the left, add text, a large photo (that doesn’t click through anywhere) with the date. No next / previous page, just a long page with photos and text that can be added to with an ‘add new’ button.

    Any ideas?

  • Choose a theme or template that has the blog-style you are referring to. MANY themes have exactly that.
    Apply the theme[entire site] or template [selected pages / posts] and your sorted.

    Your current theme MAY even have these features…
