Simple New User Error, Please Help

  • Building a simple Twenty Eleven site w/ no knowledge of code. New to WordPress. Had a nice horizontal black menu bar under the top image. Something I did in Theme Locations (I changed the Primary Menu) made the horizontal menu bar disappear. Now I can’t get that menu bar back (even though I changed the Primary Menu setting back to the way it was).

    Problem solved. But … how do I create pages that do not display any child pages? Some of mine do, some don’t and I can’t see any differences in the settings among them.
