I was having a problem with my organization’s writers because they couldn’t add media to posts. I went through and deactivated all the plugins and then reactivated them one by one. Simple Links was the culprit. Everything was working fine before I updated the plugin but I don’t recall which version I had before.

Is there a fix for this? Or am I the only one with this issue?

Are you on the latest version of wp and simple links?

    What theme are you using?

So far I have not seen this issue, but armed with the above info, I can look into it.

I am using the latest release of WP, 3.9.1.

I am using Backcountry Child Theme version 1.0.1 which is a child of Genesis version 1.8.2.

Sounds like a conflict with something in your theme. Or maybe even an old version of Genesis if you are using 1.8.2.

When on the screen you are having issues on, do you have any errors showing in you console? If so, please post them.

    Thanks

What console? And on which page? The page where I’m trying to add media?

Yes. The page where the media is not working.

Here are quick instructions to view the console.

Sorry for the delay. Life got real busy. We were able to get by deactivating the plugin, making our changes, and then reactivating.

I did what you said and got the following from the console:
[Error] TypeError: ‘undefined’ is not a function (evaluating ‘$(“#ed_toolbar”)’)
    (anonymous function) (builder.js, line 1)
    j (load-scripts.php, line 2)
    fireWith (load-scripts.php, line 2)
    ready (load-scripts.php, line 2)
    K (load-scripts.php, line 2)

    Hi Dismas,

Looks like the issue is with another plugin or theme. Something with an ed_toolbar and a builder.js file.

It is possible it is looking for a generic class or id. Or is trying to use the $ instead of their own noConflict jQuery.
