Simple Lightbox not working after updating

    Just updated my wordpress to current version and then saw that simple lightbox needed updating. I dread updating it because it breaks the plug-in every time, and this time is no exception.

    Is this normal? Here’s the gallery page I use it in:

  • Hi, it looks like you’ve also recently updated NextGEN Gallery (NGG) as well. NGG broke support for all third-party lightboxes as of v2.0.

    We are hoping NGG will add support for third-party lightboxes soon, at which time we can release an add-on to enable SLB to have robust support for NGG.

    Also, it looks like there are some manually added attributes added to the image links that are specific to a fairly old version of SLB. Manual attributes are not officially supported and may cause issues in future versions of SLB.

    Also, it looks like the output of these manual attributes might be formatted improperly, which may cause issues with validation and may potentially cause issues with site display for visitors.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply. Could you further explain one or two things at all? Regarding the link I posted above which contains thumbnails of nextgen galleries, I’m not sure what you mean by manually added attributes?

    And again, not sure what you mean by formatting (as I can’t seem to find where abouts the manually added attributes are, I can’t see how they’re formatted, but even if I could I probably wouldn’t know if they’re formatted improperly).

    Hi, all NGG links had an additional attribute that looked something like :

    slb=\"4565465465421287\"

    SLB itself does not add this so it appeared to be manually added to the links, but it also could have been added by another plugin for some reason.

    These formatting issues were noted on the validation results that I linked to in my previous reply.
