simple hooks plugin won't activate

I am working with a new multisite installation on WP 4.1.1 and have Genesis 2.1.2 installed and network enabled. Still I get the message:
Sorry, you cannot run Simple Hooks without WordPress 3.9.2 and Genesis 2.1.0, or greater.
when I try to activate Genesis Simple Hooks ??
