Simple History executing 44.6M function calls in 30 minutes

The logs don’t really say anything to me. Is it possible to get any more information, for example what function calls that are taking a long time?

Most of the work of Simple History takes place when something specific is happening, for example when editing a post, uploading an attachment, installing an plugin, and so on. So my guess is that something is trigging something. Does the Simple History log contain a large amount of specific log entries for example?

I’ll try to reinstall Simple History when the server is stable. We’re trying to eliminate any unnecessary strain on the CPU right now because it crashes due to high load. Because Simple History was showing millions of transactions, we figured this might be an issue.
