My question was less of a matter of how to create a feed, but how to inform the untutored viewer how to arrange to collect and read such a feed.
The web site I am hoping to use (senioredge.net) is directed at retired seniors, typically over 75, who need to see a simple explanation of what is needed.
Everything I see here is for the benefit of the feed creator not the feed reader
Yes, please re-read the plugin documentation…this is for the owner of the website…the “feed creator” as you say. All of the things you are mentioning are not what the plugin does. There are plenty of resources available on the Internet, using Google (or other search engines) to teach people how to use feeds (and feed readers) and setup FeedBurner, FeedPress, and FeedBlitz, so we are not going to recreate those.
As the site owner, if you want to put together a tutorial for those unfamiliar with how to use feeds and feed readers, you are welcome to do that, but I am not sure why you feel that is something that is up to us to do.
