• Been using ecwid for 1 year now on a small shop site and also on a free site with even smaller shop. Not 5 or even 4 stars because of two reasons: 1. the silly links instead of human readable links in products.

    2. Also I just discovered and I am not happy al all that if I Google on some products, Google gives only wrong websites-link https://www.xxxx.xx/winkel/#!/~/product/id=21114470 which gives an error-notification that I may not access the server. Nowhere in google search can I find good links to products on this website.
On the site itself this product-link says:
    https://www.xxxx.xx/winkel/#!/~/product/category=5053073&id=21114470

Nice plugin otherwise, will rate higher if Google problem is solved

  • Hi Yolanda,

Thank you for the feedback. Please find my comments below.

    1. the silly links instead of human readable links in products.

Good point. We’re working on this. The improved URLs will appear in one of the future version. Sorry for keeping you waiting.

    2. Also I just discovered and I am not happy al all that if I Google on some products, Google gives only wrong websites-link https://www.xxxx.xx/winkel/#!/~/product/id=21114470 which gives an error-notification that I may not access the server.

In fact, Ecwid supports the both format – you can see it on our demo store (mdemo.ecwid.com) or in any other Ecwid store. By the way, I’ve just checked it on your site and find it working OK – check the url ending with “winkel/#!/~/product/id=19040626”. Still, the broken links is a serious issue and it might be caused by either a bug in our plugin or your WordPress site misconfiguration. Either way, I’d be happy to help with the issue. I’ve just sent an email to you so that we could further investigate the problem. Please have a look.

    Thank you.

Thank you, received your mail and answered privately. Will check again from same compute on friday. On Android this 2nd issue seemed to be resolved now.
    Cheers

    OK, 4 stars,
I do not know what caused the problem -it may even have been a temporary server error – but it has been solved and feedback from the ECWID team was very good.
    cheers
    Yolanda
