I’m searching in vain on Google and Bing for a simple guide to configuring Docket Cache, specifically, one that would go through all the options on the Configuration menu and give recommendations that don’t assume a lot of technical expertise.

I’m a volunteer web “master” for a nonprofit org trying to use Docket Cache on a small website in tandem with WP Super Cache. I find the official Docket Cache documentation to be not really helpful. Need a little more hand holding. ??

    Recommendations appreciated!

    Hi there,

Docket Cache is an object caching plugin alternative to Redis and Memcached. It is not intended for non-technical users. At least you must have experience using Redis or Memcached. But it is not too technical to install and use it

By default, the Docket Cache configuration is suitable for all hosting types and websites. If you have an issue with the default configuration, you may try adjusting the options below:

    • Disable Cronbot Service.
    • Disable Object Cache Precaching.
    • Disable WordPress Menu Caching.
    • Disable WordPress Translation Caching.
    • Disable Admin Page Cache Preloading.
    • Enable Retain Transients in Db.
    • Disable Chunk Cache Directory.
    • Enable Real-time File Limit Checking.
    • Enable Auto Remove Stale Cache.

    Thanks.

Thanks. This was helpful. I’m not sure, however, why one “must have experience using Redis or Memcached.” I was under the impression that Docket Cache was, at least in part, designed for those who were not able to use Redis or Memcached because of host restrictions, etc.

Anyhow, your work is much appreciated.
