    Helpful developer who pointed me in the direction of a slight problem’s source (turned out that using the Jetpack “subscription” module is not entirely compatible as the module acts in an odd way and takes the data direct from the post yet ignores the shortcodes, just printing them “as is”.

    Moving away from that module and letting any updates be made from the displayed feed (i.e. via RSS) work as intended.

    Thanks! If I may add a “feature suggestion” – how about a counter when you compose the Tweet / shortcode that tracks how many characters you have left, when you take into account any link/reference etc?

    If there is one, I’m missing the obvious!
