    On a fresh WP install with only ASE and Simple Download Counter, I get an error message “Failed to initialize plugin: sdc_download”. Screenshot: https://www.imagebam.com/view/METSU0H

    This has never happened with the many other plugins ASE is installed together with. So, I assume there’s something in SDC that is triggerring this error?

    For your question, I’m not sure what ASE refers to, but the “Failed to initialize plugin: sdc_download” error has been reported in the plugin support forums. So far, we have been unable to repeat the issue on default WordPress. Several users have had this issue over the years, however none yet have been able to provide steps to repeat. I definitely want to help and resolve, but can’t really do anything without being able to replicate the issue.
